Objectives of the action	Overall objective: The perennial horticulture development project is aimed at contributing to poverty alleviation for Kahmard and Saighan rural households Specific objective: The increase of farmers’ earnings in horticulture sector by matching enhanced fruit production systems to market demand

Estimated results	At least 500 farmers have received training sessions about improved production procedures At least 40 new commercial orchards are established with improved methods Post harvest handling methods are improved reducing losses by 10% Local institutions and economic interest organisation benefited from 10 types of training sessions for their capacity building process Farmers’ incomes increased by a minimum of 15 % through market linkages facilitation
