Strategic support will be given to the creation of farmers’, traders’ and exporters’ organisations and the use of those organisations to help educate their members in all aspects of their businesses. Most of this private sector development work will be implemented by NGOs supported with funding from the EC Delegation provided under this project, and with coordination and supervision from the project team. The call for NGO proposals was published on 3 October 2006, with a closing date for proposals of 21 January 2007. After evaluation the following 9 NGOs have been seletected.
